Absolutely Disgusting
This story makes me sick. He should remember karma is a bitch!
Are Payouts Enough?
Payouts aren't enough. This test can determine your future. It' s been a while since I took the test, but I remember the stress and frustration when you didn't do as well as you would have liked.
Seriously, are they making a test that's impossible to score?

Heading Home
I guess you could call it a vacation, extended weekend or whatever. In any event, I will be out of NYC.
Any other city runs at a slower pace, so it will a break of somewhat.

New Madonna
I didn't get to the site quick enough to hear the single, but it will be here before we know it. It's called "The Beat Goes On" and it's a Pharrell/Madonna collaboration....hot!!
Now if only Janet Jackson could do something like Madonna. Why does Janet have such a hard time putting out an album like Ray of Light or Confessions? I'm not talking techno pop music, but just music that takes music today and pushes it up a notch or two with her own spin.

Loving Softer and Harder?
Capricorn Horoscope for week of August 23, 2007
"The harder that we love, the deeper we're gonna feel," sings Keith Greeninger in a rootsy tune from his Glorious Peasant CD. That's good advice for you right now, Capricorn, since what you especially need to guide you during this phase of wandering and exploration is ever-deeper and ever-more-nuanced feeling. I'll add a corollary that may help as well: The softer you love, the smarter your emotions will be. You can love harder and softer at the same time, right?

Kiss with clothes on
This makes me want to go shopping. I got this from OUT magazine. I want that grey coat!
Wednesday...after the party
So I hung out at A's beautiful apartment again. We got food from Pop Burger, had some G. Goose with munchies from Western Beef! We almost got Pinkberry, but didn't feel like walking two avenues (and they don't deliver). For all you Apple lovers that new Apple store will be huge when it's completed. I should starting taking before photos!
Another evening in Chelsea / Meatpacking district.

It's Raining...but
It's raining, chilly but tonight I'm going to a friends party in Chelsea. His wife is out of town and he's ready to party. I'm like...whoa man, unless you are having a slumber party I can't stay out all night.
That's what I say now.

Zimbabwe's Tragedy
Shakespeare's tragedies are called tragedies because of a character flaw. This story is a tragedy because of a flaw with a country.

John Mayer's Gap Ad
Great Photo! I wonder what/who he's thinking about. The SRV on his left shoulder stands for Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Drowsy Chaperone
If you're in town, check out Drowsy Chaperone. I saw it Sunday. It's fun and if you like musical theatre...you'll get the little "inside" jokes.
Enjoy...show off!!
Year of Magical Thinking
I've yet to read the book, but I saw the play last week and on the surface it's a play about someone dying, but underneath it's a play about our reaction to the death of parent, partner, child. We are never prepared for those little moments like selling clothing, seeing photos and receiving mail of those that have passed. All that that on top of the death itself.
The play opens and the character looks at the the whole audience for what seemed like an eternity and said, "One day this will happen to you". It was spine chilling!
Take some time to think about how you want your "estate" divided. It will help make things a lot easier for the people you have left behind.
Stardust
I thought the highlight of Stardust would be Michelle Pfeiffer and it was for me, but who would have thought the reclusive and horrible interviewee Robert DeNiro would have given a wonderfully heartwarming performance. I'm a lukewarm fan again.
See it! See it! See it!
22nd Street
I found myself in Chelsea quite a bit this weekend (yes, very funny). If I could afford to live there, I would.
I discovered, while moving around Chelsea (14th street to 26th Streets), that I rarely walked on the busy 23rd street. I took side streets like 22nd or 24th. Those streets aren't as crowded and maneuvering is a lot easier and more scenic with the brownstones.
A thought popped up in my mind. Is this a sign? Am I getting old? Am I tired of New York City? Normally, I always want to be on the busiest more crowded parts of NYC to be feel the "energy" of the city. This weekend it was more about the journey. More about
Maybe I needed a break from Chelsea or I need a break from New York. I think it was both.
