Year of Magical Thinking

I've yet to read the book, but I saw the play last week and on the surface it's a play about someone dying, but underneath it's a play about our reaction to the death of parent, partner, child. We are never prepared for those little moments like selling clothing, seeing photos and receiving mail of those that have passed. All that that on top of the death itself.

The play opens and the character looks at the the whole audience for what seemed like an eternity and said, "One day this will happen to you". It was spine chilling!

Take some time to think about how you want your "estate" divided. It will help make things a lot easier for the people you have left behind.

Yes it is. My will is already written to make life simple. The only thing I have not done is to make preparations for my funeral. That is a little complicated being raised a Muslim and having a Protestant Partner!! Alas if Life was that simple...
