"I Knew Them Before"

Technology can be like your favorite undiscovered, underground artist that played in cheap venues with well vodka and tight unisex bathrooms 10 years ago.  Today that same artist is one of the hottest around living in a loft Williamsburg and shopping at Farmers market in Union Square.

"I knew about them before..."
"If you don't understand them, listen to someone else."
"I don't have to explain anything!"
"They got too big."
"They sold out"
"You didn't have to go through what I did"

Someone is always going to think they've earned being a fan more than someone else.  Those arguments never go anywhere.  It's all about options.

I  root for the underdog and the people that are working hard to beat the establishment.  Call me a fanboy and/or elitist and you're probably right.  I made a conscious decision to "switch".  I went against the grain to whole new world.  I was happy when not many people "knew" about the "other side" and took pleasure in seeing them struggle with what technology they thought was best.  Now, as things are shifting and my choice years ago is now fashionable, these noobs have all these complaints and issues.  I have this to say...

"If you don't like it, switch back and never look back".  That goes for phones, computers, tablets, machine guns or whatever.  You have a choice in is this great retail landscape.  If you don't like it, RETURN IT (within 30 days, 14 in some cases).

Brendon

My current obsession. Looks, brains and laid back.  He's my Jeff of this season and it would be a shame to go home early.  He's got to get the power of veto!

SPOILER ALERT!  He did win!! Yeah!!!!!!

Big Brother 12

Big Brother has begun.

Every year I wonder if I'll want to watch, but I'm already hooked. The boys, the attitudes all mixed together with a big side of drama!  It's awesome. How will this season stack up.

I want to give my first impressions of the contestants before it gets too far in the the season.

I wonder if my "thin slicing" worked.

  • Andrew - needs a lower profile.  If he's thought of as the saboteur he will be sent home
  • Annie - playing well
  • Brendon - paired up to early. Now a target. Genuine
  • Britney - like her. Seems authentic
  • Enzo - strategizing too hard.  He will crash and burn
  • Hayden - follower and in over his head
  • Kathy - weak physically, which is surprising given that she's a cop
  • Kristen - don't know her yet.  Under the radar
  • Lane - looks overwhelmed.  Too much in his head
  • Matt - sexy appeal, laying low, aligning well
  • Monet - very competitive. needs to watch her fire
  • Rachel - I like, genuine
  • Ragan - Sweet, I like, genuine
My favorites:

Brendon, Rachel, Ragan, Annie, Andrew and Matt.
