Heathcare Crisis

Yes, the "richest" country in the world is in crisis. We may have wealth, but it's definitely only held by the top 2% in this country. Everyone else has to work everyday and the ones that have healthcare have to beg the insurance companies to treat their illnesses (after the insurance premiums are paid of course). It's a big ripoff! This CNN story tells a story that is unfortunately repeated over and over again in this country.

The Republicans talk about universal healthcare like it will bankrupt the country, but what about this war that are in support. Where did the money come from, thin air? If the people are asking for it, then the people have spoken. Make it happen. You work for the people, not the other way around. It just fires me up to think some rich white men (with no clue) control the quality of life of people who they have no connection with.

Note to Barack Obama:

Will you be any different????

Branchaphobia

Imagine walking down a sidewalk with trees and a branch from one of those trees takes one of your eyes out!

Lately, I've been having this fear as I walk the city streets that my eye will get stuck on a branch. What is this about? I have a lighter schedule this week, so I will sit down and meditate on this. There's got to be a reason that tree branches are freaking me out.

A Dedication

Daniel Day Lewis, what a nice gesture. To acknowledge another actor's work while you're accepting an award for yours. Heath never got the academy (neither did River), but they are two of my favs!

Strum me like a guitar!

Let's try posting this again! I love her. This time she said the tour is ready to go! It better be. I'm prepared to pay a lot of money this time!!

Obama Wins South Carolina

Things are getting interesting.

I like Obama, but I'm still undecided. Undecided because I want a change, but I will only support a candidate with a clear plan about Universal Healthcare. Hilary has one and Obama isn't as rosy and hers. (click their names for their heathcare plans)

I want a candidate who can get in the White House and lead the United States out of the Bush era. Out of our sad economy and foreign policy.

Would they both shake things up? Yes!

My vote is for...

I'm really not sure yet, but I know listening to Obama's "Yes we can" speech I get teary eyed. He is inspiring! Go Obama!

Note to Hilary: Tell Bill to go back to Harlem and shut up or he'll cost you the election!
