We have too many portable devices. I'm in the market for a new laptop, but not buying until the one I have needs to be replaced. Would next next main machine be a tablet. From what's out today, the answer would be no.
I think the tech industry wants to create a tablet market. Just another way for them to sell you more product. What they should be working on is improving battery life. Even though your phone can email, text, surf the web, play music and video people are carrying more devices because one device won't last 6 hours if you use it fully.
My message to the tech industry...
FIX THE BATTERIES!
