Be afraid, very afraid

Every person of color needs to be wary of the police. This verdict was unfair and unjust and if those police officers had been real men and believed in their innocence they would have been judged by a jury of their peers. They did not because they would been found guilty on some count.

"The police response with respect to each defendant was not proved to be
criminal, i.e. beyond a reasonable doubt. Questions of carelessness and
incompetence must be left to other forums."

Okay I get that. What I don't understand is if carelessness and incompetence are factors in other forums why don't they count in this case?

Also, carelessness and incompetence are not standards to be applied here, unless the conduct rises to the level of criminal acts, as defined by the law relating to each count charged.

I don't care if it happened in one second. They were shooting based on assumptions with no merit. The police officers' carelessness and incompetence caused citizens to be injured one fatally.

I have this to say to the mother and former fiance to Sean Bell:

Sue New York City! Get as much as you can get. I think the judge was alluding to that when he said, "Questions of carelessness and incompetence must be left to other forums."

Maybe your children can have some opportunities, unfortunately a father isn't one of them.
