Ang Lee's 'Lust's' NC-17 Rating
The MPAA is a hypocritical, sexist mess. It's okay to have a movie like 300 come out where men are chopping off body parts time and time again, but show too many pelvic thrusts and get a NC-17 rating.
The MPAA does nothing to protect the United States. It's a force run by old men that know nothing about kids or what they're exposed to. If America stopped treating kids like virginal angels and more like the adults that they're becoming, we wouldn't have a culture so unevolved when it comes to sex.
I think instead of a rating system there should be a listing of the graphic violence, nudity or sexual content in the movie. There can be nudity in a PG-13 or R rated movie. How are parents supposed make the correct decision for their family? There's drug use in PG or PG-13 movies.
Drugs and violence aren't the issue. Ironic, when you consider the Virginia Tech, Columbine or Sniper shooter in DC. This country has been built on violence and we've become desensitized to it. That's the problem.

Bought the partner's dad 300 and Planet Earth on HD DVD.
A straight friend of mine was saying that he thought the movie was so intense sexually that he felt 'obligated' to feel an attraction to the male form.
Hope that you are enjoying your break Kevin...Spring is here!
