Julia Roberts is...over?

SO WHAT the movie didn't open at #1. Would children or teenagers want to see two real actors in a romantic/suspenseful/comedy??...NO!!

They want to see a doomsday or bromance movie.

That's fine and makes a lot of sense. I didn't see it either, but that's because movies are $12.50 plus $1.00 if you're buying online. Seeing a movie and getting popcorn can cost you on average $24.50. That's ridiculous. Can you see why I buy video games for $17.99 and fix my own dinner (when I cook)? I get more food and hours upon hours of entertainment.

That's exactly what I did Friday night sans the cooking! I like Julia a lot, but the next movie I'm seeing is Monsters vs. Aliens this weekend.

Killzone 2 Medic Ability

I finally got this badge unlocked last night. This one I'm looking forward to because it's more than just extra weapons. It's about strategy.

This I Believe

Taken from the website....

About This I Believe

This I Believe is a national media project engaging people in writing, sharing, and discussing the core values and beliefs that guide their daily lives. NPR airs these three-minute essays on All Things Considered, Tell Me More and Weekend Edition Sunday.

I was turned onto this series by a friend a few years ago and I listen every week. It's enlightening and extremely touching. I've heard stories about people who believe in talking, hugs...you name it.

Unfortunately this series is coming to an end because of budget cuts. It's a shame. I've wanted to submit something but waited. Since I've missed my opportunity to submit it on the air I'm going to post it here in a few (days, weeks).

Killzone 2

I'm obsessed with this game. It's such intense gameplay. I didn't think I'd like first person shooter, but this one is so addictive and the graphics are amazing.

Just another great reason to have a PS3.

Monday's Snow

I tried to get this up on Monday, but things happen. So, it's Wednesday and it's going up now.

The intersections are the worst part about a snow in New York City. You've got slush and possibly ice. It can be a dangerous situation the amount of people walking in this city.

This was 9am Monday. Love snow, hate slush.

You Tube

I don't get why a TV show, who needs ratings in order to exist would take videos off a website that basically promotes them.  In the long run people will watch your program.  It's free anyway.

Now I know it has to do with ad dollars and putting that focus on the show, but most people who watch American Idol watch it already.  I think it's  now a showcase for karaoke singers, but occasionally I like to glance and see if I should take a look at the show this season.

From the clip and what I saw last night.  I'll pass on this season.  I'll check in when the stars come in.

Kindle 2

This may seem like a big advertisement, but I am genuinely fascinated by this device. I want one, but $359 is too much money for my blood, especially when the Playstation 3 takes up lots of my free time.

Books downloaded to a handheld device?? There would be some books that I would purchase only on hardcover, like Toni Morrison, but the rest...who cares.

Think of all the space I would save!

The Next Concert

Hmmmmm, so where do I go to get tickets lately.

Ticketmaster

Are there any other options out there...let me see...

Live Nation

Well, these two companies are merging under the guise of "the bad economy". I smell a big, fat smelly rat. The Democrats in Congress better step it up and reject this merger. What do you call one company that represents artists, sell merchandise, promotes and sell tickets for shows across the country? I call that a monopoly. If you're an artist and want to be at the best venues with access to the most people you're going to sign with the company that give you the most bang for your buck. If this goes through there will be one company...that's it.

Next Live Nation Entertainment will start producing music to sell on their own record label that plays on their own MP3 players!
