This week

Seems like a blur and as I type this early Tuesday morning I'm in a daze.


I don't know where it went.

• Friday I saw a play
• Saturday I was home all day and out all night,
• Sunday I got up and saw a great play at the Hamlet @ Public Theatre by this great group called the Wooster Group and the after party afterwards.
  

This time it was too much and I didn't go to work on Monday. This week I have:

Tuesday - Amel Larieux concert
Wednesday - Halloween
Thursday - Opening night Cyrano
Friday - Show

November already looks like a busy month.

Kris, a woman with terminal cancer, was on Oprah on Monday and a few things she said stuck with me. She said,

• "We're all going to die, but how many of us truly live?"
• "Life is a terminal condition for all of us."

Take some time to savor a particular moment in the day. From walking up stairs, to digesting food. There are some people out there who can't.

That's something that you don't hear very often. It's a weird story. First, he comes out. Second, check out an excerpt from this article.

The GopherHole asks how his former girlfriend reacted to the news:

GH: How did she react when you told her? Was she surprised?
ZP: I had shared some feelings with her, but yeah, she was shocked. She was very understanding. For the record, I’m not gay, I am who I am.

GH: Does that mean that you are interested in dating men or women?
ZP: Women.

GH: I'm a little confused, how is that coming out if you still want to date women?
ZP: I had to find out exactly where I stood with my own sexuality, and so I did.

GH: So...you experimented and realized you did want to be with women?
ZP: I’m at a point that if I met someone and loved them, I wouldn't let their gender get in the way, and I don’t think anyone should.

Confusing, isn't it. Looks like he wasn't ready to come out of that smelly, sweaty closet. I think coming out is personal and selfish. Selfish because it's more for you than anyone else and personal because it's something that you do when you're ready. I hope Zach wasn't pressured. I wish him all the best.

Vampire Gear

I thought I would blog about this before I leave work. I'm headed to one of the many Halloween shops to pick up:

What's Wrong Now

I love Whitney and it seems like she's on the comeback trail, but what is up with her speech? I'm going to pray for her.

I don't have too much time, but I'm undecided. Here are some choices:

Black Angel - dark make up, horns, all black
Dead Admin - with ripped, bloody dress shirt
Vampire - blood, bite wound, teeth

I'm leaning toward Vampire, but we will see. What will I wear?

Moonlight

I have this love hate relationship with vampires. I love to watch movies about them, but when I see them I have to pull the covers up and over my head.

This show is good. Mystery and the vampire mythology are hard to resist. I hope this show stays around for a good while.

Friday Night

So, I got my haircut. Thank Goodness!

My friend J called and asked if we could get together tonight because there's some drama happening in his life that he has to talk about in person. I'm slightly worried. We're meeting for pizza first and then going to B's birthday at a bar in the village.

When am I going to see "Why did I get Married"??

My Prediction

The United States will attack Iran so the Republicans will have something to debate about during the elections. I think it's the only way to polarize the Nation and create a issue. I wonder if it will work.

Yep, it will! I don't have much faith in the American people.
