Sex in my City

Sex and the City is one of my favorite shows in the world. I just finished Season 4 Episode 1 "The Agony and the Ex'-tacy". It's the one when she turns 35 and has a party at il Cantinori. It's about being older and being single. I can relate.

Does anyone believe in soulmates? Soulmates? I'm not sure they exist. That concept is about holding one person to this high standard. Soulmates implies that you're bound forever. That's too much pressure on two people. I think that we're meant to meet people on our journey. Some just stay longer than others.

Handful of Sesame Seeds Please

Are you stressed, anxious, insecure? These foods can help. Along with sesame seeds, I need some pineapple chunks.

No One Mourns the Wicked

Pace Steps Down

Get out and stay out. Your job is to lead the armed forces, not share you opinions or beliefs with the American People. Did he ever consider the men and woman that serve under how and how that would hurt their moral. Guess they don't count. Here's is a statement made by USA 's highest ranking soldier.

""I believe homosexual acts between two individuals are immoral and that we should not condone immoral acts," Pace said."

He later sent this statement:

“Yesterday, during a wide ranging interview with the Chicago Tribune Editorial Board, I was asked if I think the current policy as codified in U.S. Code, generally referred to as “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell,” should still hold.
“People have a wide range of opinions on this sensitive subject. The important thing to remember is that we have a policy in effect, and the Department of Defense has a statutory responsibility to implement that policy.
“I made two points in support of the policy during the interview. One, “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” allows individuals to serve this nation; and two, it does not make a judgment about the morality of individual acts.
“In expressing my support for the current policy, I also offered some personal opinions about moral conduct.
“I should have focused more on my support of the policy and less on my personal moral views.”

Sounds like someone told him to shut-up.

125 Best Foods

I've had a rocky relationship with food my entire life. When I'm feeling blue I eat, when I'm happy I eat. Yes, I'm an emotional eater. Here's a short story.

I started gaining weight around 10 years old. I had a 34 waist in 5th grade (I know). It just kept growing until at my Senior Prom I had a 44 waist and was about 285lbs. I had a 50w pair of Levis. What changed was that I got out of my parent's home and went to school. There I connected to why I was eating (long story).

Asking myself, "Am I hungry?" before I put a piece of food in my mouth helped me lose 60 lbs in three months. From then I exercised and more weight came off. I'm not saying that this will help those who want or need to lose weight, but I know one thing for sure. Diet's don't work. Losing weight is about a lifestyle change.

I have more magazine subscriptions than I need, but one that I find invaluable and read cover to cover is Men's Health. Check out their article about the best foods for men.

Fired

Wow, I didn't think they would do it, but they did. What do the rest of you think about this? A friend of a friend (take it as you will) said there was so much tension on the set after the "incident" that no one was even speaking to Issac other than when the cameras were running. That's what I call acting.

Shame. He's had a reputation for being difficult to work with. Issac should know that all it takes is a PA or crew member with a blog to spread gossip like wildfire. If you need to have a confrontation, do it behind closed doors.

I'm sorry to hear an actor lost his job. I wish him the best.

Traveling to Canada, Bermuda or Mexico?

Good news! or is it?

This is another case of mismanagement by this administration. If you're going to create a requirement that leads to more paperwork and processing by your offices, shouldn't you be prepared for it. Did they think people wouldn't travel? Wasn't this created to protect us? The big question is, "will the security people scrutinize people without passports?" Maybe, but if the requirement was about safety "maybe" isn't good enough.

Tragic Circumstances

Would be another provocative topic for a play.

You wait for an organ and while it's in transit the plane crashes. Probably ending hope for you being able to survive for the next organ(s). That would be devastating for the families and friends.

It shows that sometimes you just have no control of certain outcomes.

So You Think You Can Dance

I was hooked on So You Think You Can Dance last summer and now I'm hooked again. I like it better than American Idol. Dancing is not about how much you can riff, but your technique. They work and train so hard, but have short career life spans.

I'm drawn to a good story and some of those dancers have amazing ones to tell. Have you wondered what it took to get in front of people and perform? It takes a lot. Practice, rehearsal and a little birdy that tells you "knock it out da box".

Good luck to all the dancers!!!

Sex and the City Alum

I'm getting my ticket early. That's all I have to say. I think the picture speaks for itself. Does anyone know from which epidsode of Sex and the City he's from?

I didn't watch Will and Grace, but he was on there too.

An Interview in the Country

Frank Rich interviewing Sondheim and I wish I could go, but it's a little too far. I met Sondheim once, in passing, and told him he was "amazing". Was that the best I could do? He replied with, "really"? I'm sure Mr. Rich will be a lot more creative.
